Labs · Experimental
A normalized, multisource view of Venezuela's air market, with a governed monthly connectivity composite under development.
The real annual series below are retained as Labs evidence and normalized only for comparability. Their separately named Air Activity Historical Benchmark is launch ready. No authorised schedule feed currently supplies every frozen ACI input, so no ACI observation is published and nothing here enters Core VCI.

11.4
2023 · 2012 = 100 · 53 reproducible annual observations.
Equal-weight geometric mean of passengers, departures, and freight, each normalized to its own reported 2012 level. This is carrier activity—not scheduled connectivity and not historical ACI. Non-positive or incomplete years are omitted, never filled.
Each indicator is divided by its own 2012 reported value. Values are never interpolated, blended across units, or presented as the ACI composite.

World Bank distribution of ICAO carrier statistics provides the long annual history. The separately collected MIA–CCS fare monitor provides a live price-pressure companion. Future authorised schedule or airport feeds must remain separately attributed before any overlap is used for validation; source disagreement is disclosed, never averaged away.

Once admitted, each monthly component is normalized to its first 12 complete months and combined geometrically. A missing component makes the month null.
Composite publication requires an authorised, reproducible schedule feed covering operating carrier, flight, origin, destination, schedule date, and seats. Annual registered-carrier totals cannot be relabelled as airport connectivity, and airfare remains a companion rather than an ACI component.
