Brief
Colombian airline Wingo will resume service to Venezuela on September 7, operating daily flights to Bogotá and three weekly frequencies to Medellín. The carrier plans to use Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the routes. The restart forms part of a gradual rebuilding of regional air connectivity, adding regular links between Venezuela and two major Colombian cities.
Regular Wingo service to Bogotá and Medellín would improve Venezuela’s direct access to a key neighboring market. The deployment of daily capacity on one route also provides a concrete test of passenger demand and airlines’ willingness to rebuild regional operations.
